Vineyard Compassion

Isaiah 58 reminds us that as the church we are called to 'loose the chains of injustice, set the oppressed free, share our food with the hungry and provide shelter for those in need.’ At Vineyard Compassion, we seek to live this out by providing people with practical, emotional & financial support at their crisis point of need, while empowering them to tackle the underlying root causes of poverty. With the Hope Centre, they are able to engage with clients through open door sessions. All projects are a response to various needs encountered in Coleraine & along the Causeway Coast. The support Vineyard Compassion offers is available at no cost to everyone in the community.

Interning with us will give you the chance to be part of the Compassion team which means working alongside clients in Open Door sessions, admin support (case notes from sessions, phone calls, etc), supporting clients as they access various wrap-around services like food bank, link project, housing dept., social supermarket, clothing, job club, etc. You will also be involved on team and take part in staff meetings, which may include: staff strategy, prayer, idea sharing, etc. Your role will be one where flexibility is key. We will aim to utilize your skills and experience that you bring to this internship and seek to give you opportunity to put into practice all that you are learning during your time in ESOM.
